NEW CERTIFICATION FOR COLAS RAIL ITALIA
Colas Rail Italia has obtained the SA8000® certification, a standard that certifies management conformity with regard to Corporate Social Responsibility.
The SA8000® Standard is the world’s leading social certification program, which applies to organizations of all types, in any industry. It defines the voluntary requirements to be respected in the workplace, both in terms of safety and in terms of workers’ rights and conditions and focuses on the following nine fundamental areas: Child Labor, Forced or Compulsory Labor, Health and Safety, Freedom of Association & Right to Collective Bargaining, Discrimination, Disciplinary Practices, Working Hours, Remuneration, Management System.
Colas Rail Italia certification process started in October last year with a Pre-audit, followed by the Certification audit in February 2020. In fully compliance with the standard requirements, we also set up the SA management system, including the SA8000 policy, the SA8000 Manual and relative procedures.
This certification, in line with our Code of Ethics and with the Integrated Management Systems already in place in our company, underlines Colas Rail Italia’s commitment to achieve the highest ethical standards and sustainable business development, with particular attention to social impact of our activities and the working conditions of all our personnel, including partners and suppliers.
