COLAS RAIL ITALIA SIGNS NEW CONTRACTS FOR OCL RENEWALS WITH RETE FERROVIARIA ITALIANA

The Italian railway infrastructure manager company, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, has awarded Colas Rail Italia new contracts under the Framework Agreement 2019-2021, for the renewal and upgrade of the Overhead Contact Lines equipment on the existing national railway lines.

In particular, the two contracts concern:

  • LOT 1 – Turin and Genoa, awarded to the consortium with S.I.F.EL. (Leader), Colas Rail Italia and COGET.
  • LOT 2 – Milan and Verona, awarded to the consortium with Colas Rail Italia (Leader), Sirti and S.I.F.EL.

The work will be carried out between 2019 and 2021 and is worth a total of €44 million for Colas Rail Italia.

Over the last years, Colas Rail Italia had already been awarded other important contracts for the renewal, maintenance and upgrading of overhead lines and power supply systems of the railway lines in operation, in the north-west of Italy as part of the Italian Railways investment plan aimed at driving forward the modernisation of Italy’s railway equipment technology.
