A NEW FULLY-EQUIPPED VEHICLE FOR THE “MOBILITA’ GARANTITA” PROJECT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CODOGNO

A new vehicle equipped with an electric platform and therefore essential for the transportation of mobility-impaired people was handed over last December to the AUSER voluntary association of the Codogno municipality, as part of the project “Mobilità Garantita” promoted by the PMG Italia company.

The initiative, certainly innovative of its kind, aims to promote social inclusion and personal autonomy for people with reduced mobility. The new equipped vehicle allows a continuous and free of charge accompanying service to support the most vulnerable population groups, including mobility-impaired people, the elderly and all those who need assistance even on a daily basis, due to the effect of the Covid-19 health emergency.

The vehicle was acquired thanks to the contributions of companies and businesses activities of the area, which were granted small advertising spaces on the external surface of the vehicle itself.

Colas Rail Italia chose to support this project to show solidarity with one of the hardest-hit by coronavirus territory, which has also been the headquarter of its warehouse form many years now. Moreover we believe that in particularly difficult times such as those we are going through right now it is imperative to join forces in order to ensure a strong network of services in support of the community and all those in need, helping to improve the quality of life.

We are proud to support the Codogno’s local community and this social initiative, which will see us on board for the next two years!

We wished we could participate to the official ceremony for the hand over to Local Authorities, together with all the businesses of the territory who joined the project, but unfortunately the ongoing health emergency and safety restrictions did not allow otherwise.
